As a Pendolino heads north 66593 '3MG Mersey Multimodal Gateway' leads the 10.08 Lawley Street to Felixstowe Freightliner past Roade. This location that I have been using for some years that does require the use of a ladder is very close to home, in fact, I can almost see it from the kitchen window. Unfortunately, in the next few months, it will become a spot of the past as the land I use to access is to become a large new building site that will morph into a housing estate.

66096 leads a motley collection of stock past Roade as the 08.47 Crewe to Southall 5Z93 ECS move. I tried to ascertain the purpose of this ECS move but despite studying the next subsequent few charters I could find none that utilised the Mk. IIf stock seen here.

390125 passes Roade working the 10.15 Manchester to Euston Virgin service. This could well be the last time that I use this spot as the builders who are about to develop the land used to access it have begun to construct their compound and access will be denied by security fencing.
