Class 221, VT 06.52 Holyhead-London Euston (1A15), Gordon's Lodge
Under dismal skies and unidentified Class 221 passes Gordon's Lodge just north of Hanslope Junction working the 06.52 Holyhead to Euston train. There was once a loop to the right of the lines in this view witnessed by the extra width of the electrification masts.

350126, LM 08.02 Crewe-London Euston (1U22), Gordon's Lodge
350126 races down the up fast line in between infinitely faster services working the 08.02 Crewe to Euston train. The train is seen passing a remote spot on the southern WCML named Gordon's Lodge between Northampton and Wolverton.

350247, LM 08.54 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (2Y60), Gordon's Lodge
Do not be fooled by the wide-open vista of the WCML here at Gordon's Lodge near Hanslope Junction. To take photographs requires a ladder to elevate the photographer above the palisade fencing and the brambles! A reverse angle image showing the palisade fencing over which I am pointing the camera can be seen in the background at.... https://www.ontheupfast.com/p/21936chg/29146180604/x66708-10-00-willesden-west-london 350247 passes heading south working London Midland's 2Y60 08.54 Birmingham to Euston train.

390002, VT 09.30 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1B11), Gordon's Lodge

46233, outward leg of The Midlander, non-stop 08.49 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1Z86), Gordon's Lodge
This was a steam charter with a bit of a difference! It was organised by Vintage Trains who advertised it as a steam-hauled non-stop run from Birmingham New Street to Euston; quite a claim! In fact, evidence on the Six Bells Junction website appears to bear out that they achieved this no doubt with some help from signallers and control. 46233 'Duchess of Sutherland' looks quite at home on the WCML as it passes Gordon's Lodge near Hanslope Junction but no doubt wishing that it was on the fast and able to stretch its legs a little more! The Midlander left Birmingham New Street at 08.49 running as 1Z86 and actually arrived at Euston ten minutes early.

D1755, DIT, outward leg of The Midlander, non-stop 08.49 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1Z86), Gordon's Lodge
Wearing its two-tone British Railways green livery well D1755 (formerly 47541 snd 47773) is dead in tow on the rear of the outward and non-stop run of The Midlander from Birmingham to Euston. The tail of the charter, being led by 46233 'Duchess of Sutherland', is seen passing Gordon's Lodge between Northampton and Wolverton.
