A late summer bank holiday weekend trip to Devon with Graham travelling in UVJ the Austin 1100. We started in the Exeter area ending up on the sea wall and on Sunday spent the whole day relatively local to Newton Abbot. We camped again at Lillisford Farm between Newton Abbot and Totnes. The weather was a little better with some sunshine that made a pleasant change for our usual fare!

We drove directly from Wiltshire (home) to Exeter via Shepton Mallet, Taunton and thence the M5 to Cullompton. After a cloudy start, the sun soon came out and we enjoyed some pleasant late summer weather. Lunch was taken in the grounds of Powederham Castle (ex GWR 4-6-0 4080 of course!) |

Sunday dawned much brighter than the previous day so we struck camp, packed the Austin 1100 (UVJ 129J) and got on with the business of taking photographs! We spent the day not venturing very far from an area centred on Newton Abbot finally heading home at teatime from Cockwood Harbour. |
