350234 pauses at Milton Keynes working the 16.13 Euston to Northampton commuter service. I have said it before, I really like taking photographs at night. Images take on a whole new atmosphere conveying a different mood on and around our railway.

377703, SN 17.13 Milton Keynes-East Croydon (2O59), Milton Keynes station
Our train south to London waits at Milton Keynes' platform two. Having arrived a little earlier 377703 has a layover of about twenty minutes before we will leave as the 17.13 to East Croydon. My wife, son and I took this train as far as Kensington Olympia. Milton Keynes is by far the most northerly outpost of the Southern network with the company having to use their sub-set of eight dual voltage 377s for these services.

Ticket, Milton Keynes-Kensington Olympia (NB 2 x tickets missing)
Regular readers will know that I always like to show a photograph of the tickets used for every journey taken on a train. This time, I can only show one of the three issued as my wife and son put there's in the automated ticket machine on arrival at Kensington Olympia before I realised what was going on; obviously, the machine ate the tickets!
