A walk around the village found me at Roade cutting to coincide with the passage of two Saturday freights.

Class 221, 13.30 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1B23), Hyde Road bridge A Class 221 passes south through Roade working the 13.30 Birmingham to Euston Virgin service. The photograph is taken from the village's Hyde Road bridge located at the southern end of the mighty cutting. I thought that running a diesel from Birmingham to London under 25Kv wires was a waste (see previous image) what about this one?
