Two moves got me away from home interrupting the somewhat problematic building of my wood store! Firstly, a trio of light engines from Crewe to Wembley and, secondly, the returning of a Class 317 from Kilmarnock to Ilford dragged by a Class 37 as the balancing working from yesterday.

37069, 68013 & 68015, 06.47 Crewe Gresty Bridge-Wembley LMD (0A68, 1L), between Roade & Ashton
With poppies scattered about the field of juvenile wheat in the foreground, DRS' 37069 tows Chiltern's 68013 and 68015 through the Northamptonshire countryside. There is a regular path for this 0A68 Gresty Bridge to Wembley move in order for the Class 68s to be returned south for work with Chiltern following an exam or maintenance at the DRS facility. I really need to arrange for that bush to be cut down that is obliterating the front cab of 68015!

37800 & 317340, 11.30 Kilmarnock Bonnyton-Ilford EMUD (5Q50, 6E), Ashton Road bridge
Not the ideal location and not the one that I was going to use for this particular working however control switched the 11.10 Kilmarnock to Ilford 5Q50 unit drag on to the fast line via Weedon after it shot through Rugby without stopping! This left me short of time so I had to dash across the field from home, breaking briefly into a run, in order to get to Ashton Road bridge. Terribly backlit 37800 'Cassiopeia' drags 317340 back to Ilford after receiving attention at Brodie Engineering in Kilmarnock. Coincidentally, I saw the same unit heading north on its outward journey from the other side of the bridge three weeks earlier also being towed by 37800, see.... https://www.ontheupfast.com/p/21936chg/29061996604/x37800-317340-16-16-ilford-emud-kilmarnock
