I took two walks out today. One was to get supplies from the local garage necessitating me crossing the railway, by coincidence, as a working I had spotted was passing. Later in the day, I took my daily exercise to coincide with the weekly passage of the NMT train.

150134, 08.07 Wolverton Centre Sidings-Newton Heath TMD (5XXX, 36E), site of Roade station
This particular working had been highlighted on the forums and as it was a short distance from home and on the way to the garage to get some bread I thought it was worth a shot! Having received some attention at Wolverton works, 150134 is returning home to the north and its depot at Manchester's Newton Heath. It is seen having just started its journey passing the site of Roade station as the 08.07 Wolverton Centre Sidings to Newton Heath but I don't know what the reporting number was. If anybody can oblige it would be appreciated!

86627 & 86622, 11.13 Felixstowe North-Trafford Park (4M87, 20E), Victoria bridge
Under glorious afternoon skies, 86627 and 86622 lead the 11.13 Felixstowe to Trafford Park 4M87 Freightliner service. The veteran ac electrics are passing Victoria bridge near Roade on the down fast line. Whilst this was very rare up to about a month ago, now it is common practice. With the massively reduced timetable control have so many gaps that they can allow freight services in between passenger trains.

43062 & 43014, NR 14.24 Derby RTC-Derby RTC (1Q28, 40E), Victoria bridge
The last time that I saw this working was a very different day for so many reasons, see.... https://www.ontheupfast.com/p/21936chg/28656932604/x43013-43014-14-24-derby-rtc-derby Then it was the middle of winter and the world had not come to halt due to a global pandemic! 43062 'John Armitt' and 43014 'The Railway Observer' power the weekly 14.24 Derby to Derby via Euston and what seems like the rest of the network 1Q28 New Measurement Train working. Usually, it arrives back at its Derby base just before midnight but on this occasion, the technicians will have got a slightly early night as it arrived forty minutes early. Notice the slightly different version of yellow applied to the two power cars when compared to the converted Mk.III stock.

325003, 14.35 Crewe TMD-Willesden (5A91, RT), Victoria bridge
Having received regular maintenance at Crewe 325003 returns to Willesden to take up its Royal Mail duties. It is seen passing Victoria bridge in south Northamptonshire as the 5A91 14.35 Crewe to Willesden bringing a contrasting colour to the greening background.

66544, 12.57 Birch Coppice-Felixstowe North (4L57, 4E), Victoria bridge
A very long 12.57 Birch Coppice to Felixstowe Freightliner stretches off into the distance at Victoria bridge in Northamptonshire. The daily 4L57 working is being led by 66544, a member of the class that I photographed a number of times at various locations. I like photographing from this angle as my house always features in the background!
