The internet is a wonderful thing! Somebody posted (thanks to 56022, a poster on uk-rail@groups) that Locomotive Services Ltd (LSL) was running a set of former Greater Anglia Mk. III stock from Norwich to Crewe. I tracked it from its East Anglian starting point and combined seeing it with my permitted once-a-day walk. Unfortunately, there are few spots to take decent pictures when the sun is out at this time of day so I had to compromise a little.

66546, 08.32 Ipswich-Lawley Street(), site of Roade station
66546 passes the site of Roade station with the 4M94 07:50 Felixstowe to Lawley Street Freightliner. Unfortunately, at this time of the day (mid-morning) with the sun out, there are no local locations where the sun is not head-on! With the COVID-19 travel limitations in place, I had to make the best of a bad job so opted for this location not far from home with just strong side on lighting!

66432, 09.55 Tilbury-DIRFT (4M07, 42E), site of Roade station
Hot on the heels of the previous Freightliner, DRS's 66432 leads the 09.55 Tilbury to Daventry past the site of Roade station. The train is particularly short with the Class 66 making light work of the 4M07 that arrived, like many workings, early at its destination.

221118, VT 11.40 London Euston-Wolverhampton (9G06, 2E), site of Roade station
Having only commented last weekend that Avanti West Coast appeared to be only using their Voyager units on services that travel away from the wires here is an example proving that this is not the case! Why with all the spare capacity due to the massively reduced COVID-19 timetable is 221118 being used on the 11.40 Euston to Wolverhampton? The 9G06 is seen passing the site of Roade station.

90002, 08.42 Norwich Crown Point-Crewe HS (5Z90, 45E), site of Roade station
Running over half an hour early, 90002 'Eastern Daily Press 1870-2010 Serving Norfolk for 140 Years' leads a mixed bag of former Greater Anglia Mk. III stock and a couple of DVTs past the site of Roade station. The de-branded locomotive and stock were running as the 5Z90 08.42 Norwich Crown Point to Crewe's holding sidings operated by Locomotive Services Limited (LSL) on behalf of Greater Anglia. It is surprising that the Class 90 is still wearing the nameplates that it received on 31.05.13 from 90004 that previously carried the plates from October 2010. I am not too sure of the future of the stock and of the two DVTs, 82139 and 82143, out of sight on the rear of the train.
