Former Virgin Thunderbird 57315 leads the outward leg of Statesman Rail's The Royal Windsor Statesmen charter through Roade cutting. The Class 57, formally a Thunderbird named 'The Mole' looks far less glamorous in its drab West Coast Railways livery than when in Virgin red. The charter left Crewe at 06.55 taking its passengers in relative luxury to Windsor and Eton Riverside.
