For a Father's Day my wife, son and I took a bike ride along part of the Brampton Valley Way ending up at The Northampton and Lamport Railway for a return trip on the train. A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a nice summer Sunday even if my wife did not quite agree; she does not ride her bike that often!

2104, 11.15 ex Pitsford-Father`s Day special, Pitsford & Brampton station
Peckett & Sons 0-4-0 2104 brings the 11.15 Father's Day Pitsford return working through Pitsford and Brampton station. In this view, the diminutive size of the 1948 built locomotive is clearly seen when compared to the Mk. II coach it is leading. The Peckett was built with a nine feet ten inches loading gauge along with two others, 2103 and 2105 (both also preserved) for use at Croydon paower station

764 & 47205, stabled, Pitsford & Brampton station
Looking north from the platform end at Pitsford and Brampton station reveals the line extending over bridge thirteen and to the limit of the line at Merry Tom Lane. To the left is shunter 764 and the right 47205. Both locomotives are serviceable and frequently see use on the line.
