221132, XC 16.27 Manchester Piccadilly-Leamington Spa (1O26), Birmingham New Street Station
The cause of many problems at New Street station, with relation to pollution, is the idling of diesel trains. I hope that when the new station opens later this year that this situation will have been improved. The Voyagers, as seen here in the form of 221132, are one of the guilty trains waiting with the 16.27 Manchester Picadilly to Leamington Spa. It was termination at the Warwickshire town due to the closure of the line between there and Banbury because of the collapse of Harbury cutting.

221115, VT 13.55 Glasgow Central-London Euston (9M57), Milton Keynes Central station
The train that we took home from Birmingham to Milton Keynes pauses at Central station after we have alighted. In this image, the unique livery of 221115 'Polmadie Depot' is seen as it works the 13.55 Glasgow Central to Euston. This image was subject to some camera shake due to the long exposure, but it has been improved greatly with judicious use of Photoshop and Neat Image.

Tickets, Birmingham New Street-Milton Keynes Central
The return tickets from New Street to Milton Keynes were a fair bit more than the outward ones from yesterday. However, at nearly £17 it still could not have been done any cheaper by an alternative method of transport I suspect.
