After a night spent in Cogload signal box 'assisting' the signalman and packing up my kit, I headed for home. I was absolutely exhausted after losing a night's sleep and remember riding like a zombie back to Bradford-on-Avon!

Having spent a very enjoyable night in Cogload box, 50031 'Hood' is seen on an unidentified early morning down working racing westward off the Berks. and Hants route. This was the final picture I took on my trip before heading for home on my bike. Having been up all night signaling trains and having a right old time, I was absolutely exhausted. It’s a bit of a surprise I made it back without falling asleep at the handlebars!
