66568, 03.25 Garston-London Gateway (4L52), Hyde Road bridge In truly awful lighting, 66568 makes its way slowly through Roade cutting with the 03.25 Garston to London Gateway Freightliner. To give one the idea of how bad the lighting was, I needed 6400 ISO on the camera to manage 1/1250 of a second! This did create some issues with digital noise that needed taking care of. 66591, 04.25 Felixstowe North-LawleyStreet (4M88), Hyde Road bridge The 4M88 04.25 Felixstowe North to Lawley Street Freightliner enters Roade cutting taken from Hyde Road bridge in the village. This is a return working for this locomotive, the previous afternoon it was seen heading the opposite way with the 13.01 from Birch Coppice to Felixstowe. 86259, outward leg of The Cumbrian Mountain Express, 07.10 London Euston-Carlisle (1Z86), Hyde Road bridge 86259 'Les Ross/Peter Pan' leads the outward leg of The Cumbrian Mountain Express running as its usual 1Z86. This left Euston an hour previously at 07.10 ending up at Carlisle. The veteran AC electric would give way to LMS Jubilee 56690 'Leander' at Carnforth. This was the first time that I have pictured this train from Hyde Road bridge in Roade as I was not sure if the whole train would fit in the shot between the two bridges, as can be seen, it does - just!
