I am not sure of the exact date of this image, but it was in the first half of January as we experienced some heavy snowfall and very cold weather. I am also not sure why I found myself down in the Avon Valley between Freshford and Avoncliff?

Class 37, unidentified engineering working, Avon Valley
In blizzard conditions, a class 37 makes its way along the Avon Valley between Freshford and Avoncliff. It is hauling a short train that includes, what appears to be a crane. Looking at the track in the foreground reveals them to be covered in snow indicating that there had been no trains along this line, it could have been a Sunday morning?
