After some overnight snow and completing the chores at I home, I took my afternoon constitutional! I walked across the fields to Victoria bridge and spent an hour before I got too cold and headed for home, 14 000 paces today; a good start to February!

66538, 07.50 Felixstowe North-Lawley Street (4M94), Roade Hill Whilst walking from home to Victoria bridge I captured 66538 leading the 4M94 07.50 Felixstowe North to Lawley Street Freightliner. It is seen heading north along the down slow between Roade and Ashton on the southern WCML. Whilst a lot of last night's snowfall had melted away, the scene is still suitably wintery! 66569, 09.12 Felixstowe North-Ditton (4M63), Victoria bridge 66569 is about to pass under Victoria bridge leading the 09.12 Felixstowe North to Ditton Freightliner. Standing in this exposed spot gave me no protection from the strong easterly wind. I was glad that I had prepared myself by dressing appropriately but I still had to jump up and down a bit! Class 221s, VT 08.52 Edinburgh-London Euston (9M52, 1L), Victoria bridge A pair of Virgin Trains class 221s head south with the 08.52 Edinburgh to London Euston. Victoria bridge is one of my favourite local spots but today it was a cold and exposed place to be. 221111, VT 12.35 Chester-London Euston (1A33, 17L), Victoria bridge 221111 'Roald Amundsen' forms the 12.35 Chester to London Euston service past Victoria bridge just south of Roade. The cold weather that we were experiencing at the time this picture was taken would have been shorts and T-shirt weather for an explorer such as Roald Amundsen who was the first to get to the South Pole in 1911 beating our own Captain Scott in the process. 66502, 12.12 Lawley Street-London Gateway (4L46), Victoria bridge 66502 'Basford Hall Centenary 2001' leads the 12.12 Lawley Street to London Gateway Freightliner past Victoria bridge between Roade and Ashton on the southern WCML. Having been at Victoria bridge for about an hour now, I was beginning to get cold being exposed to the stiff north easterly wind. I have hardly any pictures of these ex. Thameslink class 319s forming service trains, with nearly all of them being ECS runs. 66528, 09.25 Southampton-Garston (4M28) & class 390, VT 13.50 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1B52, 7L), Victoria bridge I was mighty pleased to see this train come around the corner in the far distance as it meant I could get going as, by now, the cold had really begun to get to my extremities! 66528 'Madge Elliot MBE-Borders Railway Opening 2015' leads the 09.25 Southampton to Garston 4M28 Freightliner past Victoria bridge between Northampton and Milton Keynes. Meanwhile, a class 390 speeds south forming the 13.50 Birmingham to Euston. Right then, let's get home for a cuppa!
