I usually try to get out New Year's Eve to mark the end of another year's photography. This year was no exception, so I went over the fields to Victoria bridge. In utterly dismal weather I took only four pictures but at least the tradition was maintained!

350124 and 350115 form the 1Y46 13.14 Birmingham new Street toEuston past Victoria Bridge just south of Roade. This train, along with many other up services at this time, will no doubt be carrying revellers going to enjoy the fireworks in London.

390046 heads south with the 12.55 Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston. I have said it before, but in dismal weather such as this experienced on New Year's Eve the new flying silk livery really stands out from the surroundings.

350130 & 350109, LN 13.54 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (2Y12, 2E), Victoria bridge
Another London Northwestern service heads south past Victoria bridge forming the 13.54 from Birmingham New Street to Euston. It is worked by two of the dependable Desiros 350130 and 350109.

390135, VT 14.30 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1B56, 2L), & 66054, 14.47 DIRFT-Dollands Moor (6M45), Victoria bridge
And so to the final picture of 2018. 390135 'City of Lancaster' passes Victoria Bridge near to Roade on Northamponshire forming the 14.30 Birmingham New Street to Euston. Meanwhile, 66054 leads the seven-day-a-week 6M45 14.47 Daventry Railfreight Terminal to Dollands Moor empty vans. That's it for 2018 and an interesting one it's been, I wonder what 2019 will bring?
