I'm sure that we all agree that these class 70s will win no prizes in the external design awards! However, the sound that they make is impressive and, living as I do a short distance from the WCML, my attention is always drawn when one is passing. As you can see from this image, I like breaking the rules of photography taking pictures into the sun! 92032, stabled, Wembley Yard 92032 'I Mech E Railway Division' looks smart in its GBRF livery as its sits stabled in Wembley yard. These class 92s were full of cutting edge technology when they were delivered in the mid 1990s. Since then, there fortunes have waxed and waned a bit as the fortunes of international freight through the channel tunnel came and went. This vintage AC electric is used to haul ECS sleeper stock in and out of Euston. On rare occasions, it has been used to haul the services throughout when the regular locomotives are not available.
