Another trip for work. This time, to Chadwell Heath in East London to collect a delightful Honda Jazz for a customer. The collection point was two minutes from Chadwell Heath station so I was on my way back to Northampton in no time and still managed to do an afternoon's work!

66107, 04.17 Felixstowe South-Burton-on-Trent Yard (4M07), Northampton station car park
66107 arrives at Northampton leading the 04.17 Felixstowe South to Burton-on-Trent 4M07 Freightliner. The picture is taken from the old station car park that is now in use for staff parking. The line off to the left is a short stub of track being all that remains of the Nene Valley line that went to Wellingborough and, ultimately, Peterborough.

90045, stabled on sleeper stock, Wembley Yard
As the train I was travelling on entered Wembley Yard, 90045 is seen at the head of the sleeper stock. The class 90 had brought the empty sleeper stock out from Euston to Wembley for daytime servicing. The Freightliner looks very bright in its new Freightliner livery in the drab mid-winter weather.

66050, stabled, Wembley yard
66050 'EWS Energy' sits at the head of what looks to be the 6M44 Dollands Moor to Daventry water bottle train. It is seen in Wembley yard with the stabled sleeper stock behind.

67013 & 67023, stabled, Wembley yard
Striking quite a pose in its new DB livery is 67013 stabled in Wembley yard. By comparison, 67023 sits behind it in the EWS livery that now looks somewhat dated and drab.

With 67023 just poking its nose into the left of the image, 66039 is seen leading a tanker train facing south in Wembley yard.

86246 & 92043, stabled, Willesden MPD
Looking a bit sad wearing its very faded Anglia livery that was once described as being Turquoise Green 86246, formally 'Royal Anglian Regiment' sits at Willesden depot with 92043 'Debussey'. The 86 had been rescued from storage at Long Marston by Europhoenix being selected for future use abroad.

350372 & 350369, LM 07.33 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1W06), London Euston station
Having arrived at London Euston, 350372 and 350369 disgorge their passengers. I travelled on this train, the 07.33 Birmingham New Street, from Northampton.

350250, LM 10.54 London Euston-Northampton (2N11) & 378202, LO 10.57 London Euston-Watford Junction (2D83), London Euston station
On the blocks at London Euston sees two different operators trains. To the left is London Midland's 350250 that will form the 2N11 10.54 stopper service to Northampton. To the right, London Overground's 378802 will leave just after the London Midland service forming the 2N11 10.57 to watford Junction. Notice LO's less than subtle headboard attached to the connecting door of the class 378.

Class 315, LO 10.34 Shenfield-London Liverpool Street (2W86) & 321364, LE ECS from 09.00 Braintree-London Liverpool Street (1F31), London Liverpool Street station
A class 315's driver secures his train after arrival with the 10.34 from Shenfield at Liverpool Street. Next to it, sits 321364 stabled after the earlier arrival of the 09.00 from Braintree. I was eyed with suspicion at Liverpool Street station by staff not keen on me having my camera out despite having a valid ticket. If I had been using a mobile 'phone camera, would that have been different?

The frontage of Chadwell Heath station. Situated nine miles from Liverpool Street, the station was opened by the Eastern Counties Railway in 1864. It is to undergo expansion soon as it will become part of TfLs Crossrail network with direct services across the capital and out as far west as Reading

Tickets,Northampton-Chadwell Heath
Just over £18 is not a bad fare considering that it was a combination of an anytime and advanced single. As work paid, I was not too concerned though!
