A day trip to York when I visited the National Railway Museum. I believe that our family drove to Malton where we parked the car and took the train into York.

55009, 10.55 London Kings Cross-Edinburgh (1S21) & class 101 DMU, York station
A poor quality image taken under York's overall roof showing the 1S21 10.55 King's Cross to Edinburgh entering the station. It is being led by a somewhat faded 55009 'Alycidon' with a class 101 DMU in one of the north-facing bay platforms behind. I attempted to replicate this view in a visit to York station during 2021 see...... https://www.ontheupfast.com/p/21936chg/30013497057/x7-158842-nt-stabled-york-station, no Deltic or Class 101 in the more recent view!

Class 101 DMU, unidentified York-Bridlington working, Malton station
A class 101 DMU sits at Malton station with a York to Bridlington working that would reverse at Scarborough. This poor quality image shows Malton station before it was rendered unrecognisable by a re-building programme that involved, almost other things, the removal of the small awning at the far end.
