55016, 09.00 Aberdeen-London KingsCross (1E11), Darlington station 55016 'Gordon Highlander' pauses at Darlington with the 09.00 Aberdeen to King's Cross working. As the driver peers back down his train he is probably hoping that the worker loading the mailbags gets a move on so that the train can get under way as quickly as possible. 55010, 13.10 Edinburgh-London Kings Cross (1E13), Darlington station The familiar view to the south of Darlington station sees 55010 'The King's Own Scottish Borderer' leaving with the 1E13 13.10 Edinburgh to King's Cross. Notice the LMS parcels van next to the train that is part of the stabled set of stock.
