55022, stabled, London Kings Cross station
55022 'Royal Scots Grey' sits stabled on the blocks at London King's Cross station. This is one of the pictures resurrected from the negative strip that was not printed due to the obvious problems with it being out of focus. Photoshop has enabled it to be improved and presented as seen.

55016, 09.00 London Kings Cross-Edinburgh (1S17), York station
55016 'Gordon Highlander' leaves York station working the 1S17 09.00 King's Cross to Edinburgh. Simon and I travelled on this train from London, the first journey of our Railrover. 55016 made it into preservation following withdrawn on 30.12.81. However, it has passed from owner to owner. At the time of writing it is on its 8th owner, Locomotive Services Limited who took ownership, along with 55022, from martin Walker in late 2017.
