Another railtour for me to ride out and see unusually on a quiet Sunday morning. I rode my bike from home down to Bradford-on-Avon station to capture 'The Sussex Downsman 2' on film.

37295 & 37234, outward leg of The Sussex Downsman II, Worcester Shrub Hill-Brighton (1Z21), Bradford-on-Avon station
After a heavy rain shower, 37295 and 37234 pass through Bradford-on-Avon station. They are heading the F & W Railtours organised 'Sussex Downsman II' running as 1Z24 and not 0Z24 as the leading 37 displays. This railtour started at Worcester Shrub Hill and ended up in Brighton. There appears not to have been a Sussex Downsman so while this one is designated as 'II' I do not know.

25170, up PW train, Bradford-on-Avon station
Just after 'The Sussex Downsman' railtour had passed through Bradford-on-Avon station, the distant colour light BJ102 turned green. To us spotters this meant that there was a non-stoping train heading along the Avon Valley from Bathampton Junction. I waited for a short while and was rewarded with this lovely un-fitted freight composed of ballast wagons probably organised by the PW department headed by 25170. Class 25s were not very common in this area of Wiltshire so it was nice to see. Also take note of the the range of 60s and 70s cars in the station car park that occupies the site of the old goods yard and shed.
