Our usual coastal walk to Sheringham. This year, as my wife had been ill recently she went on the train from Weybourne leaving my sone and I to do the walking.

20227, 09.55 Sheringham-Holt, Weybourne station 20227 'Sherlock Holmes' arrives in to Weybourne station nose first with the first train on the day on the North Norfolk railway, the 09.55 from Sheringham to Holt. Notice that this train is crossing over on to the wrong platform as daily supplies are sent up to Weybourne (and Holt) from the railway's base at Sheringham on this train and they are more easily unloaded straight into the station from this platform. 20227, 09.55 Sheringham-Holt, Weybourne station 20227 'Sherlock Holmes' leaves Weybourne station on the North Norfolk Railway with the 09.55 Sheringham to Holt working. The Class 20 has been in use for the summer season on this lovely heritage line but, I have to say, it does look a little out of place in north Norfolk and in this livery. 20227, 10.35 Holt-Sheringham, Weybourne station Having worked the first train of the day to Holt, 20227 'Sherlock Holmes' drifts down Kelling Bank into Weybourne with the 10.35 return working to Sheringham. In the autumn (and winter) the sun struggles to illuminate this part of the line but I do like the dappled lighting through the trees that are just managing to hang on to their leaves. 90775, 13.05 Holt-Sheringham, Dead Mans Hill During our walk to Sheringham, my son and I reached Dead Man's Bridge just as the 13.00 Holt to Sheringham train came past.
