Our final day in Florence and the weather broke! By the time I visited the station in the evening, it was cloudy and we were in for some rain. Indeed, that night there were some spectacular thunder storms.

Notice that there is no driver's door on this side necessitating them to climb to track level, walk around the front of the locomotive and climb in the door on the other side. The diesel is about to work the 17.55 Florence SNM to Borgo SL commuter service. It made a very dramatic departure a few minutes after this picture was taken making a heck of a racket!
