I have been pretty unwell over the last week or so (as have the rest of the family!) so I have been unable to get out. On the road to recovery, I went out in the van fro an hour or so to Victoria Bridge. It knackered me somewhat but it's a positive step in the right direction!

66034, 10.41 Willesden West London Junction-Bescot Down Side (6R01), Victoria Bridge
66034 received its DB red livery almost exactly a year ago. Given that, it still looks very smart and brings a flash of light to an autumnal afternoon. It is leading the 10.41 Willesden to Bescot engineers' train that was mainly conveying used ballast back to the Midlands for recycling.

66096, 10.41 Willesden West London Junction-Bescot Down Side (6R01), Victoria Bridge
66096 brings up the rear of the 10.41 Willesden to Bescot engineers' train. Up at the front was 66034. This was a pretty dull day but a significant none-the-less as it was the autumn equinox marking the official end of summer as the sun appears to pass over the celestial equator. Whatever it means, I want the coming months to be over as soon as possible and for spring 2019 to arrive!
