Class 221, VT 11.28 Chester-London Euston (1A19, 6E), Roade Hill
With the wheat just a couple of weeks off harvest it adds a lovely golden glow to the countryside that certainly brightens up an otherwise dull summer afternoon! Here at Roade Hill, just across the field from home, a class 221 heads south with the 11.28 Chester to London Euston. The passengers will be arriving into London in about 25 minutes and, in this case, about six minutes early.

86259 'Peter Pan/Les Ross' runs along the down slow past Roade Hill in Northamptonshire with the 12.22 Euston to Rugby Carriage Sidings LE move as 0Z89. Having worked the return Cumbrain Mountain Express the previous day, it makes this short move to the rather overgrown sidings just north of the line at Rugby where it sits all week awaiting its next call. Given it does this, it's all the more surprising that its paintwork still looks so fresh.
