Another Cumbrian Mountain Express on the WCML but nobody can can have too many pictures of 86259 on the national network! As my wife's Range Rover was parked at the front of the drive I took that the short distance to Blisworth, something I'm not allowed to do very often!

390042, VT 07.23 London Euston-Birmingham New Street (9G05, 1L), Blisworth A particularly dull and overcast morning did not dent my need to get out and see an '86' out on the mainline! Control let a sequence of three down Pendolinos pass it before giving it the road with the veteran electric and its train kept waiting a Hanslope Junction some seven miles south of this spot. 390104, VT 07.30 London Euston-Glasgow Central (1S42, 1L), Blisworth Wearing its one-off branding, 3901104 ' Alstom Pendolino' passes Blisworth with the 1S42 07.30 Euston to Glasgow Central. 86259, outward leg of The Cumbrian Mountain Express, 07.10 London Euston-Carlisle (1Z86), Blisworth 86295 'Les Ross/Peter Pan' leads a nice set of WCRC Mk. 1 stock forming the outward leg of The Cumbrian Mountain Express. It is seen passing Blisworth as 1Z86, 07.10 Euston to Carlisle. It's a shame that it was such a dull morning, but, had the sun been shining this shot would have been quite badly back-lit.
