Before work on a Saturday morning two down charters within twenty minutes of each other was too good to miss! I went to Victoria Bridge to see another Cumbrian Mountain Express and then just behind it The Walsall Concerto. As the name suggests, this second one took in a number of rare bits of track in and around the West Midlands using a pair of 66s top and tailed.

66951 leads the completely empty 04.25 Felixstowe to Lawley Street Freightliner working past Victoria Bridge between Northampton and Milton Keynes.. I'm sure that this is a logistical move but towing a load of empty wagons is not exactly the best use of resources?

Here, it heads another CME using its 1Z86 07.10 Euston to Carlisle path. It's seen passing Victoria Bridge near to Roade in Northamptonshire in lovely morning sunshine.
