The journey home from Amsterdam to Northampton via Central station, Schiphol and Luton airports. A trouble free journey except for very slow progress through both airports, it's better by train!

186 204, 09.22 Amsterdam Central-Brussels Mid (IC 9224), Amsterdam Central station My son strikes a pose walking along platform 14 at Amsterdam Central station to catch the 09.22 to Brussels Midi. We took this train as far as Schiphol Airport in order to take our flight home. This train was worked in top and tail mode with 186 204 seen here on the rear and 186 297 on the front. MML & Flitwick, from EZY2158 Taken from Easy Jet flight EZY2158 on the approach to Luton Airport. Sweeping from bottom right to middle top is the MML as it passes through Flitwick. Close examination reveals the line disappearing through the Ampthill tunnels.
WCML & Leighton Buzzard station, from EZY2158 Taken from the window of OE-LQA 'Adam Stoaling' as it crosses the parched Buckinghamshire countryside. It shows Leighton Buzzard with the WCML and station directly in the middle of the image. The line disappears from the scene in the middle distance as it plunges into the twin bores of Leighton Buzzard tunnels.
Tickets, Amsterdam Central Schiphol Airport Our tickets for the morning journey from Amsterdam Central to Schiphol Airport. At €4 each (£3 at the time of writing) is pretty good value, a lot cheaper than, for example, the criminally rip-off prices charged by Heathrow Express for a shorter journey from London Paddington.
