Yet another visit to London, this time to see the musical Stepping Out. As usual, I went with my lovely wife and we enjoyed a super day out!

221112, VT 11.10 London Euston-Chester (1D85, 2E), London Euston station 221112 'Ferdinand Magellan' stands at London Euston's platform 18 ready to work the 11.10 departure to Chester. This far western side of the station is not a very pleasant area being composed of huge slabs of flat concrete and with a higher roof. However, this does allow for the diesel fumes from these class 221s to dissipate more than when they are left idling towards the centre of the station where it is more confined. This is not a side to Euston's ghastly station that I use very often. But, for a few months there were some temporary toilets constructed here and as my wife 'had the need' I was able to take a couple of pictures whist waiting for her!
