220018, XC 14.27 Manchester Piccadilly-Southampton Central (1O22, RT), Birmingham New Street station
220018 working the Cross Country 14.27 Manchester Piccadilly to Southampton Central working. Looking at the passengers waiting on the platform it appears as though this service will be crowded. These units are wholly inadequate for their intended purpose. They do not have enough capacity and are horrendously claustrophobic and suffer from unpleasant vibrations. If any operator needs to look at reusing cascaded HSTs or MkIV stock from the ECML then it should be Cross Country!
