Just one picture was discovered on this set of old negatives. I remember that I stayed with my aunt and uncle who lived just outside London and that we had a day in town so. I suspect that it was taken then. Either way, another sunny day now well into the 1976 drought. I don't yet think that Denis Howell had been appointed Minister for Drought as this didn't happen until just before the rain came at the end of August!

Class 55s & class 31, unidentified workings, London Kings Cross station
At the platform end at King's Cross reveals a busy scene. There are two Deltics in the view, unfortunately neither are identified; my notes have long-gone! The station pilot class 31 is busying itself and, at the fulling point a class 47 can just be seen. Looking at the angle of the sun this picture would have been taken in the late afternoon. I apologise for the excess shadow on the Deltic in the foreground, the camera and film was unable to cope with the excess contrasts and Photoshop reached its limits!
