Another of our day trips to London. My wife and I had tickets to see Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre that is opposite the station of the same name. The musical was great!

350124, LN 08.33 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1W06, 10L), Northampton station
On a grey June day, London Northwestern 350124 arrives into Northampton forming the 08.33 Birmingham new Street to London Euston. This is a 'fast' 3-stop train to London that is one that we regularly catch, as on this day.

221106, VT 11.10 London Euston-Chester (1D85, 2E), London Euston station
Virgin West Coast 221106 'Willem Barents' waits on the blocks at Euston ready to work the 1D85 11.10 to Chester. Having an engine under each coach means that a fair amount of exhaust is emitted especially when in confined spaces such as here at Euston. The same issues occurs at the recently re-built Birmingham New Street that suffers from exhaust fume issues in the upper concourses.

350116, LN 19.49 London Euston-BNS (1Y79, 1L), London Euston station
Our train home from London Euston, the 19.49 to Birmingham New Street waits at platform 6. This is always a busy train and always a 4-car unit meaning that on leaving Euston it is consistently full and standing very often with first class decalcified by the guard.

With Wembley stadium in the background, 37800 'Cassiopeia' stands at the head of one of the new Crossrail units 345030. Not a great shot but a record of the new stock before introduction into service.
