A beautiful Sunday before the late spring Bank Holiday found me tempted away from the garden to see two freights. These were going to be passing very close to each other very near to my home. So I borrowed the wife's Range Rover (a rare treat in itself!) and went out to my local favourite spot.

350255 & 350265, LN 12.14 London Euston-Coventry (2Y19, 1E), Victoria Bridge London Northwestern 350255 and 350265 pass my local 'spot', Victoria Bridge, working the 12.14 London Euston to Coventry. This service, along with all other West Midlands train services, were terminating and starting from Coventry because of extensive bank holiday engineering works throughout the Birmingham area. 66425, 13.09 Daventry-Purfleet FLT (4L48), Victoria Bridge A beautiful late spring day sees 66425 lead the heavily laden 13.09 Daventry (DIRFT) to Purfleet Freightliner. The train is seen passing Victoria Bridge between Northampton and Milton Keynes. This is regular Sunday freight working that I been out to photograph on a number of occasions. 66425, 13.09 DIRFT-Purfleet FLT (4L48) & 66418, 12.04 Camden South Junction-Crewe BH, Victoria Bridge The two freights that I went out to see actually passed at my chosen location, Victoria Bridge just south of Roade in Northamptonshire! Whilst 66425 leads the 13.09 Daventry (DIRFT) to Purfleet FLT (4L48) Freightliner, 66418 'Patriot, in Memory of Former Railway Employees' trundles north leading the 12.05 Camden South Junction to Crewe Basford Hall engineers' train. 66425 was named in a private ceremony at Crewe Basford Hall on 11.11.16 in association with ABF, the solders' charity. 390104, VT 11.04 Liverpool Lime Street-London Euston (1A23, 1L), Victoria Bridge A dramatic head-on picture of 390104 'Alstom Pendolino' about to pass under Victoria Bridge just south of Roade working the 11.04 Liverpool Lime Street to London Euston. Whilst I took this picture using 1/2000 sec. shutter speed, close examination of the Alstom logo on the front revealed some very slight motion blurr! Keywords: 390104 1A23 Victoria Bridge.tif
