For the previous few months, a regular working involved the dragging of Southeastern's class 375s from Derby following overhaul. They usually took a route down the MML to Bedford, then to Bletchley, down the WCML to London and on to Margate EMD. A lovely Saturday morning was forecast so I decided on seeing it somewhere on the Marston Vale line. A short trip down the M1 in my Combo van found me at Millbrook station.

150107, LN 07.29 Bedford-Bletchely (2S04, RT), Millbrook station
Under amazing blue skies at Millbrook (Bedfordshire) 150107 forms the 07.29 Bedford to Bletchley working. This unit is a regular performer on this line that I have also seen it all over the Midland network from Hereford to Birmingham to Coventry! However, the 150's time on this line is possibly limited. In the railway press their is talk of the Vivarail D-Trains operating these shuttles.

BR heritage posters, Millbrook station
The 'Friends of Millbrook Station' are doing a smashing job of looking after their station. It was clean, well maintained with some nice flower displays. Also there were these period heritage posters on display from BR days. Note, the series 1 Range Rover featuring on the Motorail poster.

37800 & 375307, 04.42 Chaddesdon Curve-Ramsgate EMUD (5Q58), Millbrook station
A picture that I planned but did not get quite right! All would have been fine if the trees, that I knew were to the right, had not grown so tall! However, a passable shot has been taken because of the strong springtime ambient light. Europhoenix owned 37800 'Cassiopeia' passes Millbrook (Bedfordshire) exactly on-time towing Southeastern's 375307. This was the regular 5Q58 04.42 Chaddesdon (Derby) to Ramsgate EMUD working. The Electrostar was returning to the Southern following refurbishment at Derby.
