Yet another trip to London. This time, as part of my Christmas present, my wife bought tickets to see the great Brian Ferry in concert. He was excellent but, unfortunately, we had to leave just before the finale in order to get the last but one train home from Euston.

350369 LN 08.33 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1W06, 1L), Northampton Station
A record shot of our train to London. 350369 waits, having been joined by a stalemate, at Northampton forming the 08.33 Birmingham New Street to London Euston. As is usual with our jaunts to London, we arrived on-time into London.

378204, LO 22.17 London Euston-Watford Junction (2D49, 1L), London Euston station
Having enjoyed the Brian Ferry concert, my wife and I arrived back a Euston a lot later than we normally do. Whilst waiting for our train back to Northampton, 378204 is seen about to work London Overground's 22.17 to Watford Junction.

350256, 22.24 London Euston-Northampton (2N31, RT), London Euston station
350256 waits in the 'tomb' that is London Euston! It is about to work the 22.24 service to Northampton, our train home. There is some hope that when HS2 eventually gets going, that Euston will go through something of a renaissance seeing it rebuilt in a manner to match its status as one of the country's premier stations.

Tickets, Northampton-London Euston-Northampton
Our tickets to Euston and back, not the cheapest this time, especially given the very late train home.
