My friend Andy popped over in order that we could do some planning for our upcoming summer trip. We just had time to nip out to Victoria Bridge with our cameras but then the rain started - so it was a short visit!

390123, VT 12.00 Glasgow Central-London Euston (9M55, 2L), Victoria Bridge In dramatic lighting at Victoria Bridge near to Roade on the WCML 390123 'Virgin Glory' forms the 12.00 Glasgow Central to London Euston. 350126, LN 15.33 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (1W20, 2L), Victoria Bridge The black and threatening skies contrast with the oilseed rape in full flower in dramatic fashion! 350126 heads past Victoria Bridge between Roade and Ashton working the 15.53 Birmingham New Street to London Euston. Class 221s, VT 13.48 Holyhead-London Euston (1A48, 2L), Victoria Bridge The rain drops were just beginning to fall now as two unidentified Virgin class 221s race past Victoria Bridge between Northampton and Milton Keynes working the 13.48 Holyhead to London Euston. 350267 & 350264, LN 15.54 London Euston-BNS (2Y21, RT), Victoria Bridge With rain really beginning to come down now, 350267 and 350254 work the 2Y21 15.54 Euston to Birmingham New Street. 325001, an unidentified 325 & 325002, 16.22 Wembley-Sheildmuir (1S96), Victoria Bridge Now it's really pouring and the light has all but disappeared! Three class 325s led by 325001 pass Victoria Bridge near Roade working the 1S96 16.22 Wembley to Sheildmuir postal train. This is one of several 'postals' that run up and down the WCML during the day. Not all mail has been lost from the railways as people would have you think! 350254 & 350236, LN 15.54 Birmingham New Street-London Euston (2Y16, 1L), Victoria Bridge A grab-shot in torrential rain before I make a dash for the shelter of Andy's Nissan Micra! 350254 and 350236 head south working the 15.54 Birmingham New Street to London Euston. It's about to pass under one of my favourite local haunts, Victoria Bridge on the WCML between Northampton and Milton Keynes. After this shot, we gave in an headed home to dry out and have a cuppa!
