As part of the Mallard 75 celebrations at Grantham on this late summer's afternoon on display were, as to be expected, 4468 'Mallard' and to keep it company 55019 'Royal Highland Fusilier'. However, also in the busy yard next to Grantham station was DCR's very tatty 56311 as seen here. This locomotive had towed the combo from York but I see no reason why it should have remained on display in the yard having no particular relevance to the fine hertiage of the ECML.
