The only remnant of the original station at King's Sutton is the former GWR over-engineered (as was their style) waiting shelter on the down platform. The footbridge is a relatively new installation being built in 2005 as a result of the closure of the barrow crossing seen in the previous photograph. A CrossCountry Class 220 shatters the peace of the station working the 09.14 Southampton to Manchester service.
