What a lovely sight Poulton-le-Fylde station is! Complete with a

superb twin doll bracket signal in the background, the platforms are a riot of colour thanks to the friends of the station. Also, notice the hanging baskets that run the length of the awnings. I cannot help but feel that when the electrification masts and wires arrive at Poulton station in the coming few years the atmosphere of the station will be spoilt somewhat.
