47500, awaiting its fate, Carnforth WCR A sad sight in WCR's yard at Carnforth sees former GWR 150 celebrity locomotive 47500 (previously named 'Great Western') awaiting its fate. In January last year (2012), it caught fire after derailing at Ordsall in Manchester whilst being towed at the rear of an empty stock working.
