An interesting anomaly of East Midlands Trains' timetable is the twice-daily service that operates to and from Melton Mowbray. A commuter service leaves the Leicestershire town in the morning travelling via Manton Junction, crossing Harringworth viaduct to then join the MML at Glendon Junction. The balancing working (18.00 ex St. Pancras) operates in the evening and is seen here passing Harrowden Junction worked by 222009 and 222011. Both the outward and return services run as empty stock to and from Melton from Etches Park (Derby) taking Syston North Junction.
