Despite the heavy rain and general dullness was it worth it? Yes it was! The sight of a pair of matching large logo Class 50s certainly brightens up the morning as they make their way through Bescot Stadium station. They are leading the outward leg of Pathfinder's epic three-day Grampian Highlander charter. The appearance of 50007 'Hercules' leading 50049 'Defiance' certainly attracted the attention of many local enthusiasts with the station busy with about ten in various spots, trying to get their shot including a chap to my immediate right trying to protect his very expensive-looking video equipment from the rain! The charter was a resounding success over the three days with this leg, that left Taunton at 06.05, arriving just five minutes late in the Granite City.
