Two LNER DVTs are nicely lit by the early morning sunshine penetrating the glasswork of King's Cross' roof. To the left 82215 will be at the rear of 08.33 1D06 service to Leeds. This will be not far behind the first down Leeds service that is just leaving with the 1D05 08.03 train. I hope that the passengers on board the superb Mk. IV coaches appreciate their superior comfort compared to the ironing boards that pass for seats on the Azumas (and most modern trains for that matter!).
