Askam signal box (Furness, 1890) The English Heritage citation states that both the retaining red sandstone walling and the signal box are included in the Grade II preservation order which covers the signal box at Askham. The box is a fine and substantial Furness structure dating from 1890 that retains many of its original features including the chimney and pot.
