43480, 43468 & Class 777 (777035?), 18.31 Wembley Yard-Walton Old Junction (6Q77, RT), site of Roade station What is supposed to be the final Merseyrail Class 777 new unit move passes Roade in some super evening sunshine; something that has been lacking so far this spring and early summer! I believe that the unit is 777035 but am happy to be corrected if anybody knows better! Railadventure's (sic) 43480 and 43468 are towing the unit with some appropriate barrier coaches to assist with brake force. Delivery of the Class 777s was supposed to have been completed four years ago but, as usual, various teething problems pushed this date back including COVID which seems to be blamed for most things!
