Billingshurst station, level crossing & signal box (LBSC, 1876)
Apart from the modern signage Billingshurst station is a potential modeller's delight! With its superb 1876 LBSC signal box (now operating on limited time), its lattice footbridge and classic LBSC station (even though it was actually built by the Mid-Sussex Railway in 1859) complete with its ornate barge boarding to the canopy. Andy is seen to the right about to nip across the road to the adjacent chip shop to buy us some well-earned dinner before we head on to our final two stations of the day!
