Barnham signal box (NR, 2008) I hesitate to refer to the building seen in this photograph as a 'signal box'! However, at least Network Rail has made the effort to make it a familiar design rather like other recent new builds at Allington West Junction (Nottinghamshire) and Low Row (Tyne Valley). Barham opened in 2008 replacing a super platform located 1911 LBSCR box that has now been moved to the nearby Aldingbourne playing fields where it is now in use again as a community centre.
