Located nearly forty-three miles from London Victoria Haslemere station remains a busy commuter start and finish point for nearly one point five million passengers annually. The station was originally opened in 1859 but was expanded and rebuilt when the electrification arrived in 1938. Today, the station enjoys a regular and fast service to either London or Portsmouth. Notice the 1895 signal box located on the platform as was a fairly common practice for the London and South Western railway.
