Frontage, Godalming station The rather attractive frontage of Godalming station is seen in some weak spring sunshine. It was opened at this spot in 1859 as a through station replacing an earlier one slightly further north towards Farncombe that was a terminus. Nothing remains of the earlier station that is now a housing estate. Godalming is probably best known as the station used in the 2006 cult film The Holiday starring Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Jack Black and Kate Winslet.
